Greek yogurt is basically a yogurt that has been strained so that the liquid whey is removed, giving it a thicker, creamier texture than your traditional yogurt. Greek yogurt is a great source of high protein as the yogurt is denser than your regular ones. It’s high in calcium and low in fat. Besides, being a nutrient-packed snack with numerous health benefits it’s a treat for the vegetarians who lose out on some of the important minerals in their body like Vitamin B-12. It’s naturally found in products, such as fish, meat and eggs. Greek yogurt is an excellent, natural alternative, to add more to their diet.
Epigamia does tick all the boxes when it comes to choosing a good Greek Yogurt as they being quite experimental with their simple and unique flavours with no preservatives or artificial ingredients.
Natural: My most favourite out of the lot. I really loved them as I prefer my plain yogurt to be free of any added sugar and low in fat. This was just perfect as I can easily replace them with my regular ones in my diet.
Strawberry: Not a big fan of strawberries and with an additional added sugar of 12.5 g it just felt like another flavoured yogurt.
Green Apple: It was quite refreshing and had an amazing taste. It actually felt like having a green apple dipped in yogurt. The pulp just blended well with the ingredients in the right proportion. Totally recommend for late night cravings.
Vanilla Beans: It was nice, simple and creamy. A classic go-to flavour for everyone.
Alphonso Mango: Nothing too special about the flavour just the right amount of sweetener of the pulp.
Honey Banana: This was my least favourite as I found it way too sweet than my liking. It was like having one large spoon of honey with the banana lost in transit. This one just didn’t click for me.
Mulberry: It was really delicious and had a subtle taste. Just blend it with your regular smoothie and it’s gonna take it to another level.
Blueberry: Along with mulberry flavoured this one’s just perfect for your smoothie or your mid-day hunger pang.
Epigamia should definitely revise their “Added Sugar” part as most of their flavours lose their freshness when excessive sugar exceeds the core ingredient.
